To Carb or not to Carb?

If you’re the type of person who likes to eat spaghetti and meatballs without the spaghettimeat, here’s some food for thought. A new study finds low-carb diets may clog arteries and increase the risk of hepastaart attacks. Maybe it’s all that steak and cheese and bacon many low-carbers like to brag they can eat endlessly.

Anyway, according to researchers at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center in Boston, mice fed a low carb diet experienced a build-up of fatty plaque deposits in their arteries. And that…can lead to heart attacks or strokes. Mice who ate a high fat diet experienced the same, but not to the same extent. Yes, we’re talking about mice and not humans, but it’s worth thinking about the next time you decide to forgo the bun on that burger.   And what do these same experts say is the best option for most people? A balanced diet and regular exercise. Shocker.

You need to basically eat a balanced meal. All this contradicting reports slay me! One minute carbs are good & the next they are bad. What gives you scientists.
