Another bloody diet

blood-vialPeople are willing to try anything to lose weight. (The grapefruit diet anyone?) But here’s an interesting one you may not have heard of: the blood type diet. In a nutshell, it suggests you follow a certain why of eating depending on your blood type. It’s the brain child of Peter D’Adamo, author of “Eat Right for Your Type”. Here’s the gist:

Type A — a lower fat, vegetarian-based diet rich in fruits and vegetables.

Type B — a balanced diet of plants and meats

Type AB — a strict vegetarian program

Type O — more proteins and vegetables and less carbs

 I’m type A and try very hard to eat a low fat diet with lots of fruits and veggies. But lets be honest, a nicely done steak is also high up on my list of good eats and won’t be disappearing off that list any time soon.

    Is this another fad diet? There isn’t a magic trick in weight loss (trust me I’ve looked)…..eat well and exercise people!
