The Sound of Silence

Regular readers know that every Monday, I throw down a list of songs I think are great for working out.  But not this week.  This week I’m going to dare to suggest that you run without music.  Oh, I know what you’re thinking.  How am I going to get through that run without the encouraging beat of music?  Believe me it’s possible.  Without music you’ll find yourself  listening to your breathing, your feet hitting the pavement.  Let your mind wander and discover how much relaxing the run is and how much faster it goes by.  Exercise is an outlet, but sometimes it’s worth unplugging.  And don’t worry, your weekly dose of music will be back next week.
